1. Who we are
Ethio Fresh App (“we”, “us”) is a study platform for Ethiopian university freshmen. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how you can control it. By using the app or website, you agree to this policy.
2. Information we collect
- Account data: email address, display name, and optional profile fields you provide (for example department, student ID, phone number).
- Campus preference: the university you select so we can show the right courses and exams.
- Learning progress: quiz/exam attempts and similar in-app progress needed to run the product.
- Payment verification: if you request premium, we may store payment method details you submit (such as transaction references or receipt images) to verify your purchase. We do not process card numbers ourselves.
- Device binding: a local device identifier so a premium account can be limited to one device (when that feature is enabled).
- Technical logs: basic server logs (IP address, timestamps, error reports) for security and reliability.
3. How we use information
- Provide and improve courses, exams, CoC practice, GPA tools, and related features
- Authenticate you and protect accounts (including device limits where applicable)
- Verify premium payments and grant campus-specific premium access
- Communicate important account or product updates
- Detect abuse, fraud, and technical issues
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Sharing
We may share data with service providers who help us host the app, send email, or store files (for example cloud hosting and object storage), only as needed to run EthioFresh. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety and integrity of the service.
5. Data retention
We keep account and learning data while your account is active. Payment verification records are kept as long as needed for support and accounting. You may request deletion of your account data by contacting us (see below).
6. Security
We use industry-standard practices such as encrypted transport (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and access controls for admin tools. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; please use a strong password and protect your device.
7. Children
Ethio Fresh App is intended for university students. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Your choices
- Update profile and university preference in the app
- Sign out or request account deletion via support
- Decline premium; free features remain available where offered
9. Android / Play Store
When you install Ethio Fresh App from Google Play (Trusted Web Activity), the same privacy practices apply. The app opens our website (https://ethiofresh.online) inside a secure Chrome-based container. Digital Asset Links verify the connection between the Android package online.ethiofresh.app and our domain.
10. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
